We're getting ready to go out and have our last dinner together, and then spend the night in our final worship service and packing our stuff. We'll be back in Denver by 2pm tomorrow. See you all then! Until then, enjoy these photos. You'll see some of us working, plus one of Emily in the ER after her unfortunate ankle-rolling incident. Don't worry, she's fine, it's just a sprain!

Some pictures out of order

The internet is being iffy around here this weekend, so the posts have been sparse. It's too complicated to convince blogger to put them in order, so here they are out of order. Here's a recap of our weekend:

--we bid farewell to the NC group on Saturday morning, but not before getting a good group shot. There's also a shot for four very tired youth ministers.
--we got up super-early to drive to Gulf Port Mississippi to board a ferry for Ship Island, where we spent the day at the beach. The sleeping photos below are from the trip. The adults, of course, had no such luxury
--we spent Sunday morning with Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, a congregation whose building we helped rebuild last year. The place looks great! They treated us to lunch afterward. Be sure to check out the picture of Pastor Washington with Emmy. She gave him those suspenders last year, and he remembered her and wore them for her today.
--we spent an afternoon in the French Quarter today

Tomorrow it's back to work. We have three work days left!

Don't forget to check out the entry before this one, since I didn't send an email for it.

Friday

Today we worked a half-day and then came back, showered, and napped. Tonight we headed down to the French Quarter for some shopping, some sightseeing, and some beignets at Cafe du Monde.

Tomorrow we're heading out to Ship Island, Mississippi for a day at the beach!

Music on the Lawn

Tonight we hired a New Orleans band for a concert. We had hoped to get the To Be Continued Brass Band, which stayed and performed at First Plymouth last fall during the Democratic National Convention. Although they were booked up, we did book a band which contains a few members of the TBCBB. They ended up being more of a jazz band, but we still had a great time dancing to their music. Check out the pictures!

Some pictures from Devin

Here are a few pictures from Devin's camera. She's at a site we don't have any pictures from yet, so enjoy!
